Surprisingly, I got to go yesterday at the opening of the Europa Fest 2011, a jazz/blues/pop/festival. Of course, in Bucharest, Romania. Although I was incredibly tired and my seat was in the last row, I managed to shoot a few random pictures.
I bloody loved The Merry Poppins. They are an Austrian band, they are awesome, slightly hipster-ish and with a style that is hard to define. A little bit of reggae, a bit oriental, something cabaret-ish, and a whole lotta jazz. According to their myspace, they are jazz/pop/raggee. Agreed :)
I liked that the lead singer was able to change his singing style, from Ray Charles style, to reggae, in matter of seconds. They were funny, entertaining and a nice view for the eyes, if I might add:)
I'm sad I won't be able to go to the main The Merry Poppins concert tonight. Dar daca puteti si aveti chef, e la 8:30 in Club Tribute.
